I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world.  This makes it hard to plan the day.
                                                                                                          E. B. White

I am an Associate Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.  I earned my M.A. in Systems Counseling from LIOS/Bastyr University in 2007.  In 1985 I graduated with a B.S. in Child and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  I have also been certified in Family Mediation and Reality Therapy.

Before returning to school for my Masters I worked in residential treatment facilities for teens, and infants and toddlers at risk for HIV/AIDS.  I also worked in public schools for fifteen years, holding a variety of positions including teaching Kindergarten, 3rd and 5th Science, middle school special ed. Math, a Gifted and Talented program, counselor, librarian, and in special needs classrooms with students ranging from severely autistic to having mild learning disabilities.

I am most proud of being the mother of two daughters.
