I am an Associate Member of the American
Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I earned my M.A. in Systems Counseling from LIOS/Bastyr University
in 2007. In 1985 I graduated with a B.S. in Child and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
I have also been certified in Family Mediation and Reality Therapy.
Before returning to school for my Masters
I worked in residential treatment facilities for teens, and infants and toddlers at risk for HIV/AIDS. I also worked
in public schools for fifteen years, holding a variety of positions including teaching Kindergarten, 3rd and 5th Science,
middle school special ed. Math, a Gifted and Talented program, counselor, librarian, and in special needs classrooms
with students ranging from severely autistic to having mild learning disabilities.
I am most proud of being
the mother of two daughters.
